Rusco's Smart Actuator turns any standard ball valve into a smart Wifi-enabled device. This device is easy to install without modifying your existing system for your gas or water shutoff.
Easily access your new Smart Actuator through a convenient app or pair it to your existing home automation system.
The Smart Actuator is fully adjustable and can be used on piping from ½” to 1.5” in diameter and a large variety of ball valve levers.
Pairing the Smart Actuator with the Rusco Leak Detector Sensor instantly provides a full water leak detection and prevention system. The Leak Detector Sensor communicates directly with the Smart Actuator sending it a signal to shutoff the water supply whenever a leak is detected.
You are then notified via phone or your home automation system of the leak and when your Smart Actuator closed the water supply. Never worry about costly water damage again.

Why is my smart actuator not connecting to Wi-Fi?
- Try resetting the unit by holding the button for at least 5 seconds until the light begins flashing
- Make sure the password for your Wi-Fi is set properly
- With some routers, using the 5Ghz bandwidth doesn't work, try connecting to a 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi connection
Where can this actuator be installed?
On any valve with a lever.
Is this product Bluetooth?
No, this uses WiFi technology
Can I control my actuator if I'm not on my home network.
Yes, as long as the actuator is on and is connected to WiFi and you have a WiFi or cell signal, you will be able to control the actuator via the SmartLife App.
Can I operate the smart actuator without a smart phone?
There is a manual button on the device that can control the actuator.
